In this project, our research team develops a quantum computing simulator for quantum machine learning to solve large-scale problems, e.g., logistics. For the simulator, we study errors on gate-based quantum computers and develop several algorithms, e.g., quantum metaheuristics, quantum-inspired algorithms, etc.
In this project, we (1) understand more basics related to basic algorithms (e.g., Deutsch-Josza, Shor, and Grover algorithms), (2) deal with vector and matrix operations, and (3) develop algorithms to solve various problems using the gate-based system and D-Wave’s quantum computers. In addition, we hold seminars and courses related to quantum computing basics and algorithms. We expect to support domestic and foreign researchers in their quantum topic-related studies through the projects.
